API access to TraceView data
For programmatic access to your data, we recommended our python-traceview API client, installable through pip on python 2.7 and above. Alternatively, you can use those API calls directly in your programming language or http client of choice; see our data API docs.
Export TraceView data as .csv
Table data is exportable as .csv files directly from the user interface. Navigate to an app and optionally apply a combination of filters like urls, controller/action pairs, or hosts. Where exporting data is possible, you’ll see a download button in the lower right corner of the table; each download button fetches the data for its respective table.
Table data respects your selected time range. Scrub across a time series chart or select a preset window from the top right of the page. The maximum loadable range is 7 days; exporting a month of performance data requires looking at 4 or 5 adjacent time ranges. Narrower time ranges have higher resolution. As an alternative to warehousing all data, focus on capturing interesting incidents in higher detail. Find a latency spike and drag across the interesting region to zoom in, and then export.
